Yes, 100%. Lighting Toolbox works completely offline with no internet connection required. All calculations run locally on your device. No data is sent anywhere.

The CCT Meter provides approximate readings (±300K) using the McCamy formula with a 12-frame rolling average. Phone cameras apply automatic white balance which affects accuracy. For precise measurements, use a dedicated colour meter. The CCT Meter is best for quick reference and relative comparisons.
Yes. The Power (Voltage Drop) tool supports both mm² and AWG cable sizing with a toggle switch. AWG sizes 14 through 1/0 are available, mapped to mm² per ASTM B 258. Results show the cable area and nearest equivalent in the other standard.

Common Issues

CCT Meter shows "Camera permission required"
Go to your device Settings → Lighting Toolbox → toggle Camera to On. The app needs camera access for the CCT Meter and Lux Meter tools.
CCT readings seem inaccurate or drifting
This is a known limitation of phone cameras. Automatic white balance actively corrects colour temperature, causing readings to drift. Point the camera at a white or neutral grey surface for the most stable results. The CCT Meter is best for quick reference rather than precise measurement.
Voltage drop shows red warning
A red warning means the calculated voltage drop exceeds 5%, which is above the recommended limit for most installations. Try increasing the cable size or reducing the cable length. The tool also shows the maximum safe length for your configuration.
App not updating to latest version
Open the App Store → tap your profile icon → pull down to refresh → find Lighting Toolbox and tap Update. If automatic updates are enabled, it should update on its own.
